100th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Republic of Karelia

Karelia is beautiful at any time of the year. In 2020, the Republic of Karelia solemnly celebrates its centenary. Karelia - the Beautiful Land of Lakes.

Karelia has about 60,000 lakes. There are about 27,000 rivers in the region.  Forests cover about 85% of the territory of Karelia.

Karelia, having a favorable geographical position, unique natural and recreational resources, centuries-old cultural and historical heritage, is attractive for Russian and foreign tourists.
